I am gluten free and a lover of deep dish, so it’s pretty rare that I get to get what I want. Thunderbird has a pretty solid option. It had a great amount of just rightly flavored sauce on top of a cheesey thick deep gluten free crust. With the burned edges all around. The flavor was pretty on point. Prices were definitely fair at only $16 including the gluten free up charge. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated, with some retro arcade games for kids. Was pretty excited to get a gluten free deep dish on my trip and Thunderbird did not disappoint.

This place is incredible! I can not recommend it enough. The Detroit style pizza is top notch. In addition they serve local beer as well. I have been twice, and each time I regret not going more often. You order at the counter, and the food is delivered Tableside. To finish the meal, I highly recommend the soft serve ice cream. Run, dont walk to Thunderbird Pies.

I wanted to love this place. Our daughter and son-in-law were very excited to have us try it. I ordered the "Flavor of the Month, Frito Bandito" tavern style (thin crust.) I didn't receive a pizza like the one they advertised. It was a "Frito" pie but check out my photo to see how many Fritos were actually on my pie. My son-in-law said I could always buy a bag of Fritos and add more but my gosh, I just paid $24 for a pizza and now I have to spend more money and go to the store to add a topping that I already paid for?? No thank you. It was a bit spicy, which I like, but it was that kind of spicy that gives you acid heartburn for a day or more. I ordered the Caesar salad and it was not great either. The dressing was bitter and didn't have much flavor. Even adding salt and pepper didn't improve it. On top of all this, it took a really long time to get our food and then, all of the pizzas were cold when they came to the table. Seriously??? Overall, I don't have any desire to go back. I'll stick to their sister restaurant, Cane Rosso, next door. Their food is top notch, crazy good.

Perfectly done Detroit-style pizza. The dough, sauce, and toppings are all amazing. The pizza’s are perfectly cooked such that the crust has a layer of crispy, caramelized cheese. The Caesar salad is also a 10/10 — insanely delicious. They also offer a tavern style for those that prefer a thin crust.

We got their version of a meatlovers pizza. I love the fresh basil and loaded suace but my family was impartial to it. I also got the Honey bastard pizza based on recommendations and it was too sweet for us. I wish it had more of a kick! Kids loved the arcade though! The holiday decor made for really cute photos!!
